Shift Times: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM (arrival 6:30 AM); with a potential additional shift from 2:00 PM–5:00 PM (arrival 1:30 PM).
Job Details:
Opt Health, a company specializing in precision longevity, is seeking a skilled, reliable, and enthusiastic contract phlebotomist to perform venipuncture lab draws and vital signs at the North Richland Hills Police Department event.
The selected phlebotomist will work alongside two other locally contracted phlebotomists to complete laboratory blood draws and collect vital signs for approximately 65–75 participants across two days. The schedule includes a morning session and a potential afternoon session to accommodate night-shift personnel.
This engagement may lead to future PRN contract opportunities for local laboratory redraws and related events.
Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture blood draws safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Collect and document vital signs, when requested.
- Provide a professional, welcoming, and positive experience for all event participants.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with applicable health, safety, and infection-control protocols.
- Properly handle, label, process, and prepare specimens for shipment using supplied materials and shipping labels.
- Centrifuge laboratory specimens as directed and deliver processed samples to a designated local UPS drop-off location.
- Work collaboratively with the onsite event team while independently managing assigned responsibilities and participant flow.
Qualifications:
- Current phlebotomy certification or an active nursing license.
- Demonstrated experience performing venipuncture blood draws.
- For licensed nurses, experience administering injections is preferred.
- Experience obtaining vital signs is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail, specimen-handling accuracy, and patient safety.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced event environment.
